Summary:
This is a role designed to assist the Transactional Law team at Seagen with a primary focus on Clinical Contracts. The Contract Administrator serves as a primary liaison between Transactional Law and all other departments of the company, including Compliance, Purchasing, Finance, and client business units. The Contracts Administrator is part of the Contract Shared Services Team and facilitates the end-to-end contract process for the various internal stakeholders, based on their needs and schedules, and ensures consistent management of all contract requests, vendor onboarding functions, and organization of the contract repository.
Responsibilities:
- Receives and validates contract requests and supports the contracting process and contract execution, including electronic and wet ink signature
- Effectively manages contracts and vendor accounts and is responsible for the data accuracy and the organization of the contract repository
- Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
- Receives and resolves contract-related inquiries from internal and external customers in a professional manner and can effectively address complex requests
- Drafts contract templates and facilitates their distribution to the business unit and the vendor
- Monitors the CLM system and the contract intake tool workflows and works with IT to resolve issues
- Proactively identifies and resolves internal coordination issues to meet customer requirements within operational and legal parameters
- Owns and updates the SOP and business-related documents for the business function supported
- Educates business partners and team members on standard operating procedures and contract policies
- Supports contracting functions aligning to data privacy, IT, compliance, or vendor management processes
- Attends and supports team meetings and training sessions
- Assists with other projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration
- + years of related experience in a contract management role
- Broad knowledge of legal terminology, contractual and legal concepts, and documents
- Professional experience with Microsoft office tools and CLM systems
- Prior experience with DocuSign and Salesforce
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent ability to manage multiple contracts of varying types, size, and complexity through the contract administration process and to manage competing demands as well
- Strong verbal and written skills and ability to convey information in a way that others can readily follow
- Ability to analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions
- Strong team player with demonstrated ability to resolve conflict using collaboration, mutual respect, creativity, and flexibility of thought

The hiring pay range for this position is $64,000 to $83,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
