Summary:
The Lead, Systems Analyst is a member of the Enterprise Technology Services team in Global IT and is responsible for configuring, integrating, and maintaining scientific, quality, and clinical business applications at Seagen. This individual will act as a subject matter expert for several applications, providing technical leadership on project teams in order to meet business and compliance needs and driving continuous improvement efforts. Their broad expertise will allow them to pick up new projects or tasks with limited background and drive them to successful completion. They will advise management on best practices and help drive efficiency for the organization. While the role is primarily technical in nature, there is also a strong emphasis on understanding business processes, providing excellent customer service, and communicating with diverse audiences.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex system administration activities and acts as a subject matter expert on a suite of drug safety systems, including but not limited to Argus, Axway, PV Signal, WCG SafetyVigilance
- Drive continuous improvement in system performance and service quality for Drug Safety applications
- Collaborate closely with other functions to ensure that all business requirements are maintained in the development and implementation of all integrated systems
- Highlight the benefits of recommended approaches and any business process improvements from the suggested solutions
- Coordinate technical activities with other teams in Global IT to help drive projects to completion
- Evaluate business processes and propose opportunities to improve alignment with existing technology solutions
- Configure systems to suit business needs and align to a changing enterprise architecture and security landscape
- Develop robust system implementation and integration plans as a technical leader on projects
- Lead data migration and associated testing activities on project teams
- Design integration strategy for new system implementations
- Manage all operational aspects of system maintenance; Improve system health and monitoring through automation and proactive performance enhancement
- Document system support processes, flow diagrams, configurations, and interdependencies, and author other critical deliverables
- Author and maintain regulatory compliance (e.g. SOX, 21 CFR Part 11, GxP) documentation and follow all applicable GxP processes ; Provide guidance to peers on Seagen operating procedures
- Ensure that system changes are properly assessed for risk and impact and are documented and approved per Global IT standards
- Collaborate with other Global IT teams to ensure that proper training is developed and reliably delivered for Tier 1 support of systems
- Propose tools and process changes that contribute to organization efficiencies and cost savings
- Complete work with a high level of independence and self-identify tasks that need to be completed; Coordinate with peers on process enhancements
- Provide guidance to peers and flex staff; May lead a team of analysts, providing guidance on daily activities and processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors with minimum of 9-11 years of experience supporting and implementing large scale applications or Master’s degree with 7 years experience, preferably in a Life science industry
- Experience configuring trading partners in Axway E2B Gateway
- Strong experience configuring Oracle Argus, including reporting rules, product, studies, licenses, cover letters, etc.
- Strong understanding of relational databases
- Experience writing Oracle SQL queries
- Good business acumen to understand the value of business capabilities enabled by IT, interdependencies, and major risks
- Strong technical skills with on-premise server architecture and management for optimal application performance
- Experience using scripting, integration, or other methods to automate routine processes
- Strong experience managing applications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience following GxP regulatory standards (e.g. ICH guidelines, GAMP methodologies for computer system validation, 21CFR, Part 11)
- Ability to quickly master new applications and technical skills
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to identify improvement opportunities
- Ability to develop strong and collaborative relationships with peers, stakeholders, and leaders
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WCG SafetyVigilance, psiXchange, and RxLogix PV Signal
- Experience training or mentoring peers
- Experience leveraging network topology, group policy, Active Directory, virtualization, application delivery, configuration management, system integrations to optimize business application performance and processes

The hiring pay range for this position is $127,000 - $164,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
