Summary
The Systems Analyst III is a member of the Enterprise Technology Services team in Global IT and responsible for configuring, integrating, and maintaining scientific, quality, and clinical business applications at Seagen. This individual will act as a subject matter expert for several applications, providing technical guidance on project teams to meet business and compliance needs and drive continuous improvement efforts. While the role is primarily technical in nature, there is also an emphasis on understanding business processes, providing excellent customer service, and communicating with diverse audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation, administration, operations, and support for life sciences applications, with a focus on integrated and validated laboratory systems.
- Maintain compliance (e.g., SOX, 21 CFR Part 11, GxP) for regulated systems, and follow best documentation practices for non-regulated systems.
- Determine and implement incident resolution in a timely manner, liaising with vendor technical support when necessary.
- Collaborate with peers in IT to define technical approach to implement and operate business applications throughout their lifecycle.
- Configure systems to suit the business needs based on the documented requirements.
- Contribute to project planning activities.
- Participate in integration and user acceptance testing along with training and change management.
- Coordinate with the business users and vendors in ensuring data migration from legacy to new system/s.
- Partner with business stakeholders, PMO and Business Analyst on project execution.
- Coordinate the implementation of patches / upgrades to minimize impact on ongoing projects and resources. Ensure proper testing and communications are conducted.
- Submit system changes for approval per Global IT standards.
- Monitor and optimize system performance in production environments.
- Contribute to Global IT knowledge base by authoring articles to address routine system issues.
- Document system support processes, flow diagrams, configurations, and interdependencies, and author other critical deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting and implementing complex, large scale applications (e.g., Waters & Power, OpenLab), or Master's degree with 5 years of experience, preferably in a Life science industry.
- Ability to actualize business requirements through application configuration and business process.
- Technical understanding of on-premise server architecture and management for optimal application performance.
- Foundational understanding of network topology, group policy, Active Directory, virtualization, application delivery, configuration management, system integrations.
- Windows administration and device management.
- Ability to quickly master new applications and technical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with lab instruments and related systems
- Experience implementing and supporting SaaS solutions
- Familiarity with GxP and ICH regulations and 21CFR, Part 11
