Arizona BioHistory -- Learn about significant milestones in the historical development of Arizona's biotechnology & medical technology industry.

Arizona Parent Teachers Association (PTA) -- The Arizona PTA's mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

Arizona Science Olympiad -- The Science Olympiad is devoted to improving the quality of science/math education, increasing student interest in science/math and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science/math education by both students and teachers. These goals are acheived through participation in Science Olympiad tournaments, classroom activities, and summer training institutes for teachers.

Arizona Science Teachers Association (ASTA) -- The ASTA is committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. ASTA provides many programs and services for science educators, including awards and professional development workshops. The Association serves as an advocate for science educators by keeping its members and the general public informed about Arizona issues and trends in science education.

Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) -- The mission of CSTL is to engage educators in the quest for excellence, access, and equity in science teaching and learning. The CSTL is a teaching, research, evaluation, and materials resource for science faculty and students across the NAU campus, for K-12 science teachers, and for informal educators statewide. The CSTL provides leadership in and coordination of science education professional development, academic programs, and outreach activities.

Education, Arizona Department of -- Access information ranging from statistics and reports to curriculum and standards.

University of Arizona

Arizona Youth University -- Extended University offers summer programs for grades 1-12 to include science, math and other specialty camps for middle and high school students and pre-K classes during the academic year.

Basic Toxicology Lab Stations -- Basic Toxicology Lab Stations contains a series of simple lab stations or demonstrations on basic toxicology concepts like dose-response, individual susceptibility, threshold, and how size affects dose.

The Biology Project -- The Biology Project, an interactive online resource for learning biology developed at The University of Arizona. The Biology Project is fun, richly illustrated, and tested on 1000s of students. It has been designed for biology students at the college level, but is useful for high school students, medical students, physicians, science writers, and all types of interested people.

Biotechnology Laboratory for Arizona Science Teachers -- An intensive summer lab course in DNA technology for secondary school science teachers.

BIOTECH Project -- The BIOTECH Project provides technical support for Arizona teachers to conduct molecular genetics (DNA science) experiments with their students.

Chemicals and Human Health -- This interactive website, developed in collaboration with The Biology Project at the University of Arizona, covers toxicology, the effects of metals on kidneys, and basic lung anatomy and function.

Drosphilia Melanogaster and Mendelian Genetics -- These lessons are designed to teach high school students how to use the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, to apply their knowledge of Mendelian genetics.

Extracting and Analyzing Our Own DNA -- These activities are designed to introduce high school students to current molecular biology techniques while building upon their understanding of cytology and genetics.

MEDCAMP -- Free, 3-day "mini-medical school" for high school students interested in a health career. MEDCAMP includes tours of the Arizona Health Sciences Center, lectures, lab, shadowing of healthcare professionals, and mentoring by medical students.

Medstart -- A six-week summer program for high school juniors interested in health careers, targeting especially, but not exclusively, minority, rural area and/or economically disadvantaged students.

Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement Program (MESA) -- Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) is a college preparation program that strives to increase the number of ethnic minority, low-income, and first generation college-bound students who are eligible to enter a degree program at a university.

Microscopy K-12 Educational Resources -- This site covers the history of microscopy and provides some fun web sites to visit that use microscopy. There are links to microscopy and/or imaging related materials for teachers, to useful microscopy & biology related web sites, to some that keep the physics to a manageable level, to web sites for those interested in microscopy as a hobby, and to some that give advice about purchasing a microscope.

The Science and Mathematics Education Center (SAMEC) -- Hosted by The Lunar and Planetary Laboratory in the College of Science at the University of Arizona, SAMEC promotes partnerships among the various UA colleges and local school districts, leading to collective integration of UA science, mathematics, engineering, and technology research into K-16 education.

Science Connection -- Science Connectors are primarily undergraduate students who visit classrooms, elementary through high school, to do hands-on science activities in the Tucson area.

Science Foundation Arizona (SFAz) -- Science Foundation Arizona (SFAz) offers three programs to advance K-12 education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The programs focus on quality and innovation in K-12 education, targeting students and teachers in order to stimulate experiences in math and science, bringing the excitement of discovery back to the classroom.

Water in Arizona -- The WATER project is a new, standards-based water education program to use in your 4th-12th grade classrooms. The goal is to facilitate classroom implementation of hands-on, minds-on water education programs aligned with state standards.
